Our trip to Bohol was packed with exciting stops, beautiful sights, and unforgettable experiences. From historical places to thrilling rides and stunning views, here’s how our day went:
This adventure was made even more special because we were a group of five, including a child (my nephew), a person with a disability (my sister), and a senior citizen (my mom). With teamwork, good planning, and a bit of courage, we all made the most of every stop and created memories that will last a lifetime.
1. Baclayon Church
Next, we visited Baclayon Church, one of the oldest in the country. The stone walls and old religious items inside gave us a glimpse of what life was like hundreds of years ago.

2. Blood Compact Shrine
We started our day at the Blood Compact Shrine in Tagbilaran. It marks the first treaty of friendship between the Spaniards and Filipinos. The sculpture, set against the sea, was a great way to kick off our tour.

3. Bohol Lemur and Butterfly Park
At the eco park, we saw a huge python and walked through a butterfly garden. It was a mix of fun and learning, and we got to take some cool pictures with the animals.

4. Loay River Cruise and Buffet Lunch
We had lunch on a floating restaurant cruising down the Loay River. The view was peaceful, and local musicians played while we enjoyed a delicious Filipino buffet. The cruise was comfortable for everyone, and it gave us time to relax and enjoy the scenery.
5. Bamboo Hanging Bridge
Walking across the bamboo hanging bridge was a bit scary but fun. It swayed as we walked, but the view from the middle was worth it.

6. Man-Made Forest
We stopped for photos at the Bilar Man-Made Forest. The tall mahogany trees lining the road looked magical and made a great backdrop for pictures.

7. Tarsier Viewing
Seeing the tarsiers was one of the cutest parts of the day. These tiny animals with big eyes are very shy, so we kept quiet and just enjoyed watching them in their natural habitat.

8. ATV Ride at the Foot of the Chocolate Hills
One of the biggest highlights was the ATV ride. Everyone in the group gave it a try, including our senior traveler. It was thrilling, a little messy, and a whole lot of fun.

9. Chocolate Hills
Finally, we saw the famous Chocolate Hills. These round, grass-covered hills stretch as far as the eye can see. We were so proud that even our senior and PWD companion made it to the viewing deck, a proof that age and ability are no limits when there’s determination and support.
10. Sikatuna’s Mirror of the World
We ended the day at Mirror of the World, a park with mini versions of famous landmarks from all over the globe. It was a fun way to take photos and pretend we traveled the world in one place.

What a Day!
This trip around Bohol gave us a little bit of everything. From history and nature to fun rides and animals, it was the kind of day you remember forever. With laughter, support, and shared excitement, our group of five proved that travel is for everyone, young, old, or in between.
